Everything you need to know about setting up your institute, booking sessions, and conducting remote experiments.

1

Registration & Profile Setup

To begin using the Flora NVH Lab, an Institute Administrator must first create a dedicated institute profile. Upon successful registration and email verification, your institute is assigned a private directory on our servers.

For Researchers: Your Institute Admin can invite you to the platform by creating a Researcher account for you. You will receive an email with your initial login credentials.

2

Lab Booking & Scheduling

Once logged in, navigate to the Lab Booking section from your dashboard menu.

  • Select an active laboratory from the dropdown menu.
  • Choose an available date from the calendar.
  • Pick a Morning, Afternoon, or Evening time slot.
  • Submit your booking request with a brief description of your experiment.

All bookings are marked as Pending until reviewed and approved by the Super Administrator.

3

Remote Connection via RustDesk

Our lab uses RustDesk for secure, low-latency remote access to the testing rigs. You must complete the Remote Lab Setup before your first session.

  1. Download and install the RustDesk application.
  2. During your approved session time, click the Connect to Lab button on your dashboard.
  3. The system will automatically launch RustDesk and swap IT access, granting you control of the laboratory hardware.
4

Data Analysis & Syncing

After your experiment is complete, you do not need to manually transfer files over the remote desktop connection.

All test results, sensor data, and captured logs are automatically saved directly to your private institute directory. Navigate to the Data Explorer on your dashboard to instantly view, analyze, and download your experiment files.
